A true story film based on the events leading to the death of Oscar Grant, killed by a bart police offer. Truly heartbreaking film. R.I.P Oscar Grant you deserved more justice. 

2. When They See Us

A Netflix mini series about the Central Park five who were wrongly imprisoned. If you haven't watched this already you need to do so. 

3. Oprah Winfrey Presents: When They See Us Now 

Oprah Winfrey talks with the exonerated men once known as the Central Park Five, plus the cast and producers who tell their story in "When They See Us."

A documentary exposing racial inequality within the criminal justice system.

A Netflix documentary exposing racial inequality within the criminal justice system. 

6. Explained: The Racial Wealth Gap

A Netflix documentary to help understand the concept of 'white privilege'.

 7. Strong Island

This true crime documentary is directed by Yance Ford who’s brother was a black teacher shot by a white mechanic. Yance’s brother, William died and Mark P. Reilly was not charged for his crime by an all white jury.

This BBC Sounds podcast is seasonal and is hosted by Sadia Azmat and Monty Onanuga. The two women discuss what it’s like being a British woman of colour in the UK today and all their experiences.

7. Slay In Your Lane: The Podcast

This new podcast by Yomi Adegoke and Elizabeth Uviebinené, who wrote the book “Slay In Your Lane”, looks at the news and pop culture from a black British woman’s perspective.

1. Offical George Floyd Memorial Fund 

A crowdfunding to cover Mr Floyd's funeral and burial expenses, as well as mental and grief counseling, lodging and travel for all court proceedings, and to assist his family and children in their continuing fight for justice.

2. The Movement For Black Lives

A global initiative which aims to support Black organisations to conduct conversations about current political conditions.

3. Black Lives Matter UK

A coalition of black activists and organisers across the UK that started in 2016, who have currently raised over £333,000.

4.  Black Protest Legal Support UK

A hub of Lawyers & legal advisors providing free legal advice and representation to UK Black Lives Matter activists and protesters.

5. Black Minds Matter Uk

Fundraising to offer free therapy sessions for black individuals and families in the UK with certified, professional, black practitioners for sessions as soon as possible.
