Every garment tells a story... We speak with the 4th studio design team and go ‘behind the design’ of this season's star piece; the Kennedy jacket.
'Here at 4th, we constantly challenge ourselves and question what we’ll want to be wearing season after season. This spring summer, we wanted to tap into the growing utility trend with a 'shirt-meets-jacket' piece'.
'Taking inspiration from our favourite designers, street style and influencer looks are a key part of the 4th creative process. This spring summer season, we loved the utility silhouettes and contrast stitching details found all over the catwalks'.
'Next comes the fun part… As a team we love bringing our ideas to life through fashion illustration. We spend a lot of time drawing, translating our ideas into hand drawn artworks and CADs'.
'Sourcing is a huge part of the 4th & Reckless identity. Our design team travel the world to find the most luxurious fabrics and trims.'
Let's get technical. Once our designs are approved we create technical documentation to send on to our fantastic team in China. We work with our manufacturing team on a daily basis, to create garments you'll love season after season.
One of the most satisfying parts of any design job, is to see your creations come to life. Here at 4th, we're very lucky to work with a super team who create fantastic e-commerce photoshoots. This season, we collaborated with fashion illustrator Tuula Rose, who we're obsessing over in the studio.
With the Kennedy jacket's boxy fit, contrast stitch detailing and chunky D-ring fastening, it’s definitely the 4th team’s most sort after piece this season. Grab yours here.
